2016 Public Art Commission, Crashbar Project/Door Handles for new Visual Arts Building. University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA.

Clean (cut, grind), repair (TIG) and finish (needle-scale, sand, patina, and seal) bronze door handles after casting, prepare handles for machining and installation. Commission directed by Professor Kee-Ho Yuen. Door handles were exclusively designed by architect Steven Holl for The University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA.

2011-12 Winterim Study Abroad: “Art and Architecture in Tamil Nadu, India” 

Traveled throughout the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu and areas of New Delhi. Studied temple architecture, Indian culture, and modern Indian art. Met with local artists specializing in bronze casting, papermaking, basket weaving, painting, tile-making, and silk weaving.
